WHY AVALON EXISTS

What's happening:

Many gamers, geeks, and nerds have higher levels of awkwardness and loneliness than we would like to have. We sometimes struggle to feel accepted or successful outside of our gaming community or fandom.

What's likely to continue:

While we absolutely get a sense of identity and belonging from our gaming community or fandom, that feeling doesn’t always extend to our jobs, families, and other relationships. We get by, but never feel fully satisfied.

What could be:

We create a trusted community of peers who support each other without trying to fix each other. We are encouraged, and we use that courage to make a real difference in the most difficult areas of our daily lives.
